This course is designed for students seeking to bridge their creative talents with entrepreneurial skills. Students will explore the concepts of creative and cultural entrepreneurship, learning how the arts intersect with technology, innovation, and business development. Through hands-on activities and exposure to leading thinkers and practitioners, participants will develop the ability to think strategically, work collaboratively, and bring their creative ideas to life as viable ventures. Leveraging resources from Brown University, the Rhode Island School of Design (RISD), and Providence’s vibrant creative community, the course combines theory, practice, and direct engagement with the local arts ecosystem. Students will also work collaboratively on a team project where they will conceptualize, prototype, and present a business proposal for a new product or service.
Students:
